Due Diligence & IP Audits
Due Diligence & IP Audits - Griffith Hack
| An IP audit or due diligence is a comprehensive analysis of a company's IP assets, including its trade marks, which identifies and documents those assets for future use. Often, businesses fail to recognise, identify or protect their less obvious trade marks and other marketing tools such as shapes, aspects of packaging, colours, sounds and scents. This analysis ensures that valuable trade marks are safeguarded and enables their proper long-term management. Trade mark assets can then be put to work for the ultimate success of a business, for example by their enforcement against competitors or by their licensing, sale or raising of finance against them. Our experienced team interviews and works with the appropriate people in a client's organisation and examines key documentation before compiling a report on the current state of the trade mark assets and a list of recommended actions. The review is framed within the context of the client's industry and the commercial environment in which it operates. |
