| Nicola is a trade mark specialist with over 16 years of international trade mark experience. Using both her commerce and law expertise, she provides clients with strategic advice on a wide range of trade mark issues, including trade mark clearance searching and watching, trade mark registration and protection, trade mark dispute resolution including oppositions, non-use and revocation both in Australia and internationally.
Before joining Griffith Hack, Nicola worked at trade mark attorney firms in South Africa where she was Head of the firm’s Foreign Trade Mark Department and in New Zealand. This gave her significant experience in trade mark laws around the world, as well as establishing a world wide network of associates. Nicola’s practice at Griffith Hack continues to focus on strategic management of large Australian and international trade mark portfolios.
Nicola is admitted to practice as an attorney of the High Court of South Africa and as a lawyer of the Supreme Court of New South Wales. A principal of Griffith Hack since July 2005, she is an accomplished presenter and often presents on trade marks and branding in educational seminars to Griffith Hack clients.
