Experience:
| Kellie has many years experience in contentious intellectual property matters in the Federal and Supreme Courts and in Intellectual Property Portfolio Management. Her advice covers the full range of intellectual property matters including advice on patents, trade marks, copyright, confidential information, anti counterfeiting and misleading and deceptive conduct matters. She also has extensive experience in advising in relation to branding, marketing and advertising matters particularly in regards to advertising clearances, social media issues, domain name disputes, phone word disputes, sponsorship agreements, publicity rights and product packaging.
In addition to being a lawyer, Kellie is a registered trade marks attorney and has considerable expertise in trade mark registrations, opposition and revocation proceedings, international portfolio management, clearance and enforcement matters. Kellie’s experience also includes drafting and negotiating licenses and assignments of IP and technology. Kellie has represented companies across a broad range of industries including aviation, sports, education and FMCG fields.
Kellie regularly gives presentations and writes articles on topical intellectual property issues. She is a guest lecturer for the Trade Marks, Domain Names and Geographical Indications Masters of Intellectual Property Law class at the Queensland University of Technology.
