Justin is qualified to act as a solicitor in Australia and in the United Kingdom. He has 15 years experience in intellectual property, focussing on contentious patent matters, particularly relating to pharmaceuticals, fine chemicals, chemical engineering and computer implemented inventions. He spent 8 years in London, where he gained experience representing clients in matters before the Patents Court, the Court of Appeal, and the Opposition Division and Technical Board of Appeals of the European Patent Office. In Australia Justin has acted in a number of patent, design, copyright and trade practices cases in the Federal Court, Full Federal Court and High Court. He also regularly assisted clients in Patent Office proceedings. Justin has also advised on intellectual property issues arising in connection with the acquisition or sale of various international pharmaceutical, fine chemicals, and electronics businesses.
