Experience:
| Geraldine is a senior intellectual property, commercial and technology lawyer with a broad range of experience in both litigious and non-litigious matters. She advises clients on the management of IP portfolios, technology commercialisation, IP aspects of acquisitions and disposals, brand protection and anti-counterfeit strategies, IP due diligences and audits, IP dispute resolution (including patent litigation, trade mark litigation and domain name disputes), licensing, distribution and manufacturing agreements, research and development and collaborative research agreements; the Co-operative Research Centre (CRC) program; franchising code compliance and other aspects of Australian consumer and competition law which interacts with intellectual property law. She has particular experience and expertise in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries, including advising on clinical trials, the Australian Therapeutic Goods Act and regulations, the Pharmaceutical Benefits Scheme and advertising in the pharmaceutical industry. She also has significant experience in the mining and ICT sectors.
Geraldine also has several years of board experience, including as a current Council Member for Swinburne University of Technology, a director of Swinburne Ventures Ltd and a past director of AusBiotech Ltd. She is also a current member of the ethics committee for the Australian Red Cross Blood Service.
