Mary has extensive research and industry experience in Australia and overseas, and uses her technical background to stake the broadest monopoly for her clients’ inventions in order to achieve their commercial objectives. Her practice focuses on a diverse range of chemistry-related industries including mineral processing, hydrometallurgy, natural gas processing, nanotechnology, coal processing technologies and waste management technologies.

She has extensive patent prosecution experience in Australia and overseas including conducting oppositions and representing her clients before the Australian Patent Office. She provides advice on patent infringement and in recent years she has also developed her practice in intellectual property due diligence providing independent opinions for inclusion in IPO prospectuses.

Mary is also an accomplished speaker who is frequently requested to address business and academic circles on a diverse range of intellectual property matters.
