Experience:

Andy is an accredited Materials Engineer with a background in both Materials and Chemical Engineering.

Andy’s PhD studies in the field of Chemical Engineering focussed on design and fabrication of nanostructured materials for sustainable energy conversion applications including hydrogen production from water splitting using sunlight for which he won the Dean’s Award in 2011.

Andy also received the Dean’s commendation for 2006 and 2007 while pursuing a Master of Engineering at University of Queensland.

He has also published more than fifteen articles in international peer-reviewed journals such as Nature Photonics, Angewandte Chemie, ACS Nano, Advanced Functional Materials, Journal of Materials Chemistry among many others. His scientific work has also been highlighted on journal front piecesand scientific news websites. The results of Andy’s PhD thesis were also published as a book entitled “Photocatalysts: Photocatalysts for Hydrogen Production by Solar Light Driven Water Splitting”.

Andy uses his knowledge in Materials Engineering and Materials Chemistry in patent matters across several technical fields ranging from traditional materials engineering and chemical technologies like nanotechnology to medical devices and Physical Chemistry.
