Multinational
SurfIP An IP portal run by the Intellectual Property Office of Singapore. It provides a number of IP related services which range from a search of multiple prior art sources in a single action, to an on-line market place in which IP rights can be bought and sold. Some of the services offered are free, whilst other must be paid for.
Delphion Provides a patent search engine which covers the US, EPO, JP and PCT, and provides free of charge the first page of any patent located. Complete patents can be ordered at a cost. The Delphion website also provides a forum in which Patent rights can be bought, sold and licensed.
Espacenet A free database maintained by the European Patent Office which contains European patent applications and PCT pamphlets. Also a good site for obtaining information on equivelant non-European patents.
PCT Electronic Gazette Username and Password = "guest" A website hosted by the World Intellectual Property Organisation (WIPO) which includes access to a database containing the first page of published PCT applications.

Avantiq This subscriber only website offers access to trade mark databases which cover 75% of the EU, all of NAFTA, the European Community trade mark database, the WIPO database of International trade marks and the IMS Pharmaceuticals in-use file. It is also possible to search Scandinavian and Mexican trade mark databases. In addition to the trade mark search facilities, Avantiq also provides company and domain name search services.
CTM-Online The website is run by the Office for Harmonization in the Internal Market and provides access to a database of Community trade marks.
Edital-Intellectual Property Network Provides online access to trade marks in Benelux, Community trade marks (CTM), and international databases (Madrid).
Madrid Express A free database of International trade marks filed under the Madrid system. The database contains data relating to international applications and subsequent designations that have been received by the International Bureau but have not yet been recorded in the international register. The database also contains data relating to international registrations and subsequent designations that have been recorded but not yet published in the WIPO Gazette of International Marks.
