| IP Australia has launched a new version of AusPat, the online record of Australian patents and patent applications. Its improved features include 28 searchable fields, and more comprehensive data on opposition and ownership. The new version also provides all the complete specifications for Australian patents dating back to 1902 and enables searching by keyword in the full text of a patent document. This is a valuable asset in providing immediate online access to all Australian specifications and provides unprecedented full text searchable patent documents to the entire record back to 1902. “This is an incredibly exciting development,” says Dr George Mokdsi, Manager of Griffith Hack’s Information Services Group. “Drawing on my 10 years’ experience as a professional patent searcher, I now consider AusPat to be the global leader in national office online databases. I look forward to continuing to integrate our in-house search systems and processes with AusPat’s improved capabilities.” | ||||||||||
